okay - I came across this blog.... Let me state first off that I am (for the most part) shy and modest but I don't mind hearing other people's not so shy and modest views and stories! It embarrasses me sometimes, but I like it. (Weird?) Well this blog is very ADULT and even though I can not tell if the writer is male or female its pretty entertaining and funny! Check it out!

New and Creative

So I was doing what I read on another blog and pressing 'Next Blog' and coming across other people's blogs, that I did not know. I got some really good ideas! If you notice to the right, I made up a cute picture of Cori and told about her - I stole this from someone's blog that (CRAZY) had 10 kids! She was only 34 btw. She had one of these for each of her kiddo's and I thought it was cute! So, when #2 comes around, I will add another...and if there is ever a #3. I'm sure you get the point. Also she had a signature that she posted at the bottom of every blog, so I stole that idea too, and created my own! I've also changed the layout on my blog page....now I just need to add some cutesy stuff and music like some of you have! Hey, I'm moving on up in Blog World...feel privileged that you get a glimpse in my crazy head! j/k! Oh, here is the link to the blog with 10 kids, she is pretty funny, I now anonymously stalk/follow her =) http://fontenotkids.blogspot.com/?expref=next-blog

See, how cute is that? I hope you like it!

  • Cori says to the dogs "HUSH UP BOBO" I guess she pays attention to everything I say!
  • She has said her longest sentence (that I've heard) "No, Momma - I don't want that!" Clear as day! I am proud! (and apparently I like to use parenthesis and exclamation marks!!)
  • She told the lady at the pool supply store yesterday "Thank you lady, bye" The lady thought she was adorable, as did I.
  • I am in love with Gatorade G2 - fruit punch flavor. I've never been a Gatorade fan, but I am now. Watch out Sam's Club, here I come.
  • Cori is now using only 2 pull ups a day at daycare! She tells her teacher when she has to go and goes! Again, I am so proud!
  • I love the song that says "I feel like pound sign, question mark, star, exclamation point" #?*! hehe
  • James and I are officially "trying" to have another baby!
  • I've started a new book series - I can't stay away from the dang vampires! I am now reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I've been watching the series on HBO, True Blood, and I enjoy it, so why not read the books where the show came from. Speaking of vampires, I have a ticket to go see Twilight: Eclipse the night it comes out...so yes, I am going at midnight July 1st. (SHOOT ME NOW - I'm not a Twitard, as some would call fans of Twilight, but I was talked into going....so lets see how quickly I become annoyed by the screaming idiots that faint when Jacob comes on screen with no shirt on. I am on Team Edward, by the way!)
  • This is gross, but I am so excited that I get to go to the dentist next month - I haven't been in THREE YEARS! ever since I graduated college my health insurance that I had with my parents canceled so I have not had dental insurance since then. I have been taking extra good care of my teeth, and I don't feel like I have any problems but I feel like I need to have them cleaned! I signed up for my own dental plan and made an appointment! I'm not sure why I am so excited.....I usually have a full panic attack at the dentist and swear I will never go back!!
  • Also on the July agenda - My college Roommate, Erin, is getting married! So It will be a busy month for me! I'll be in Kervin on the 11th for her shower, then we are going to Galveston for the weekend of the 17th for her "Bachelorette" party and then her wedding is in Huntsville on the 24th! I am excited to see her so much, just in 1 month! Oh and my friend Kristen is coming back to Texas for a while, so hopefully I'll get to see and spend time with her and her girls too! Yay for July!
  • UGH! we were off the dang paci for about 2 weeks but Cori somehow found one that she must have hidden and now she is attached, again! At least I know we can break her - gotta start from square 1. No biggie...right?
  • Work is finally picking up! That makes me happy, we were so slow for so long! I love my job and I am VERY thankful for it! James' A/C company is doing really well too! We are blessed.
  • I love our pool! It's like a mini vacation every weekend....walk right out the back door and jump in! Cori likes it too, although she clings to me, very tightly!
  • I'm super excited that Cori and I will be going to FL to visit our friend Ashley in September! It will be Cori's 1st plane ride! I'm thrilled!
  • Do you guys like pictures on my blogs? I need to post some, I suppose.
  • I feel like my mind is running 100 mph - I have so much going on. My life is great. I have everything I need. I work hard for what I have. My daughter is BEAUTIFUL. I have faults, but I admit to them. I feel like the sun is shining right on me everyday! I am SO loving life!
  • okay, bye!

2 & 1/2 week update! =)

I'm sorry its been so long since I've updated! I'm now a hypocrite! I'm going to try to go back on my calendar and remember the things we've done in the last couple of weeks and give a good update... Lets see:

The weekend of May 22nd Cori and I took a road trip with Uncle Stewart (my brother) and Dylan and Laura. We left after work and headed to Tyler TX to meet up with Aunt Bridget (my SIL) at her parents house! They kinda live in the woods and it's so peaceful there. Cori and I enjoy going there to relax! We walked down to the lake and played at the park while the dogs took a dip! It was fun! We tried our luck with Tie-Dye which was a lot of fun, but unsuccessful! They looked awesome when we took the rubber bands off, but when we washed them, everything bled together...we were very disappointed! We vowed to try again! Stewart and Dylan took Laura and I fishing Saturday night! that was TONS of fun! I haven't been fishing in a long time. I caught two tiny fish. Laura totally kicked fish butt! She caught about 5-6 fish. We threw them all back though.
My brother and Laura, see her big fish???

Next: My childhood friend Ashley came into town from the Navy/Jacksonville FL! She also brought along her husband and her new tiny little baby girl, Sydney! I was soo excited to see them. Although we only got a short visit it was fun! We met at the mall and let Cori play in the indoor playground while I help Sydney (which made my baby fever way worse!!) and caught up with Chet & Ash. We also took baby Syd to get her ears pierced. She cried a lil' more than Cori did, but she looks sooooo adorable and girly when it was over! I also booked plane tickets for Cori and I to go to FL in September to visit them. We will have more time to catch up!! So excited and nervous at the same time for Cori's first plane ride! Its a 2 hour flight and I didn't book her her own seat...so it should be interesting! I can't belive we didn't take any pictures together! ASH, we need a pic of us and the girls!

Memorial Day Weekend: This summer I decided that every other weekend I am going to take Cori someplace fun for kids. I want to do this so she can have a fun summer and have pictures and maybe memories of a great childhood when she is older! We started off our summer by going to the Houston Children's Museum. She had TOO much fun! They have a whole floor dedicated to toddlers so it was perfect. She ran around free as a bird climbing on anything she could, touching everything and laughing the whole time! All of it was fun beside one horrible little girl that kept hitting Cori. We do not hit at our house and I was floored that this little girl (an older girl, probably 4 in a toddler room......) would come from accross the room just to hit Cori. I gave my fair share of glares to the mother of the child that didn't do anything about this! I finally had it when the little girl, "CASSIDY" pushed Cori off of a stool that she was sitting on. I grabbed Cori up and took her to the other side of the room, meantime saying "We will not play near kids that do not know how to behave and be nice....loud enough for the clueless mother to hear, and still not do anything" I as MAAAD - we didn't stay much longer!

Last Weekend: was pretty uneventful! We just hung out at home Saturday in the pool, soaking up some yummy sun! It was HOOTT though! I'm so thankful for our pool to cool off in! Cori has a blast too! Sunday we went to the Astros game! I got on the big screen twice!! The first time I was trying to embarrass my husband by doing the chicken dance...yep, the camera found me in my HOT PINK Astro's t-shirt! Second, we got on the kiss cam. They find random couples sitting next to each other and you are supposed to kiss when you see yourself! Yep, on there again! I totally forgot that these tickets were given to my husband by his job and sure enough, Monday morning some of his co-workers said they saw us on the screen!! He was embarrassed - oops!

Houston has a DANG nice Stadium!

I'm on season 3 of Lost - so far I really like it but I still have a long way to go to finish the series!

I have lost 22lbs since Jan, but I can't seem to lose anymore - I have been stuck (or maintained) here for about a month or so..I want to lose about 20 more but I don't see that happening anytime soon since I am now off birthcontrol (News Flash) and we are not preventing pregnancy anymore! The last time we decided to do this I got pregnant with Cori the 1st month...hopefully I'm as fertile this go around too! I'm ready for #2!!!! Being around Sydney and my best friend Alexis who is a little over 10 weeks pregnant is making me crazy with baby fever....really I feel like a nutcase! I see cute babies at the grocery store and it takes all I have not to go up and try to hold it, or kiss it! We'll see how it goes!

I guess that's all I have, I figured after 2 1/2 weeks I would have more! Oh, this weekend I plan to take Cori to Old McDonalds Farm. A place nearby that is a HUGE petting zoo that has a train and a park to play at too! I'll post pictures of that next week!
